Haraldr Sigurðarson (anglophone spelling is Harald Hardrada), king of Norway, sets his sights on England after a failed claim on the Danish throne. He and his army board their longships and set sail, their eyes fixed on the British Isles. Sigurðarson plans to bring honor to himself, his namesake, and expand his kingdom further... will he succeed?

The cold winds of autumn have descended upon England, and Sigurðarson's forces march through the countryside, en route towards honor and glory. The weather is harsh, but the promises of what lies ahead keep the spirits of Sigurðarson and his men high.

September 25, 1066. Two armies meet at Stamford Bridge. One of Norsemen led by the mighty Haraldr Sigurðarson, and the other of Anglo-Saxon soldiers led by the honorable Harold the Saxon. Only one may claim the rightful title of King of England, and both are willing to spill any amount of blood in order to claim that title.

An intense battle was fought at Stamford bridge. Haraldr Sigurðarson himself was slain in combat. Victorious, yet weary from the battle, the Saxon forces led by Harold the Saxon march home, unaware of the enemy that approaches...

V). March of the Normans

William I of Normandy; an ambitious noble, has laid claim to the Saxon throne. His army sales across the English channel, and marches towards the Saxon castle, ready to fight to the death so that William's claim is made.

VI). Hastings

Harold the Saxon is told of an army amassing outside the castle of Hastings! His army quickly mobilizes to defend his title yet again, despite how weary and tired they are from defeating Norwegians at Stamford Bridge. The two armies meet outside of the castle, only one army may claim victory. Who will be the victor?

In a volley of arrow fire in the heat of battle, Harold Godwinson, also known as Harold the Saxon, is slain in battle. William I, formerly known as William the Bastard, is crowned King of Saxonland, now known by his title of William the Conqueror. A new era in British History has begun, and a new dynasty has seized the throne. Long live Saxonland!
